That’s right it’s dementia action week! Our very own director Victoria (that’s me!) is running 50 Miles in May for Dementia Together Wirral – if you’d like to get involved and support you are very welcome to donate here. This fabulous charity does amazing work locally for people with dementia and their carers.
This time around we are focussing on diagnosis and the importance of getting an accurate dementia diagnosis. Alzheimer’s Society found that 91% of people found a diagnosis to be beneficial to them and yet one in three people with dementia do not have a diagnosis. We need the UK government to step up and prioritise dementia diagnosis and dementia care.
