We are a small, independent practice specialising in adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. We cover all of Merseyside and beyond, including Liverpool, South Sefton, Wirral, West Cheshire, Knowsley and Halton. If you are out of area, we offer video consultations.
About Speech Matters
Speech Matters Speech Therapy is an independent Speech and Language Therapy practice providing assessment, diagnosis and therapy for adults with communication difficulties. We work with you, your family and your care team to provide highly individualised treatment to maximise your communication potential.
We strongly believe that communication is a fundamental human right and that you should be able to communicate what you want, when you want and how you want. We work hard to make this an achievable goal.
Working closely with service providers, such as day centres and care homes, we provide bespoke training packages and person-specific advice. We work to develop team knowledge, skills and ultimately improve the lives of the people they interact with.
What to expect
We start with a free 15 minute consultation to figure out if we’re the right team for you. We will then arrange an initial assessment session during which we will take a full case history, liaise with other healthcare professionals and carry out a full assessment of your communication strengths and needs.

I am a specialist speech and language therapist with several years experience working in the NHS. I have a wide range of experience in working with adults, including those with neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinson’s), mental health, autism, learning disability and dementia. I have specialist training in stammering, alternative and augmentative communication and autism diagnosis.
